But first off, again,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!! :)
I love you and hope your day was wonderful!
Mills could have chosen to share his birthday with his Pappy (on December 26th), or his Gammy (today!), but instead it appears he has decided he wants his own day of celebration, probably his own MONTH of celebration since we don't have any January birthdays in our immediate family. He must want lots of attention. He must get that from his dad. ;)
Today marks 39 weeks, and Mills is approximately THIS BIG:

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that would be the size of a WATERMELON! But still, he continues to be snug as a bug in a rug. I'm thinking the first week in January...which is good for my maternity leave time, but I would like to keep it in the first week because I don't like to think of how much bigger than a watermelon he can get. yowsers!
AND, since I know you have been anxiously waiting, here are a few pics of the little guy's room! My mom took some better pictures before she left, but I don't have those yet, and the changing table just came in tonight (and still waiting on the last two pillow shams), so I'll give you some updates later in the week.
And I'll also take a close up of the crib so you can see the sweet bedding and precious picture above a little better... and like I said, once we get the changing table together I'll add those pics so you can see what the other side of the room looks like, but so far we really love the way it is coming together and I like to leave the lamp on in there because it gives it the sweetest little glow and it's fun to just peek in there every time I walk by the room. :) We worked so hard on all of those ABC's and I love the way they turned out, too! Callahan was laying in there the other day just staring at the letters, so we think that Mills is going to really like looking up at them...who knows, maybe he'll know his ABC's by the time he's 6 months old, haha!
I have my weekly appointment tomorrow with a different doctor in the practice (mine is on vacay until next week), but I'm guessing it'll be a quick little in and out appt, as they have been lately. Either way, I'll be sure to keep you posted!
The room looks so beautiful. You all did a great job. He will feel right at home!
