Thursday randomness...

I had a fussy little guy on my hands today so not too much was accomplished (aka our "big plans" of getting to the grocery store, BB&B for coffee, CVS, and Target)!  Usually he is just precious in the morning hours then gets just a little fussy from about 3:30 to mid-evening, but today has been the opposite. Luckily, he's cool as a cucumber now! Check out what he's doing right this minute...
(Thanks, Leah!)

But fuss or no fuss, I'd take hanging out with this guy over anything else ANY day! :) During his nap this afternoon I quickly checked my work email and began to feel nauseous, boooooooo! Not even wanting to think about it yet!
On to other things! :) While we were visiting with the fam on Tuesday, Nicholas stopped by his dad's office to get his cholesterol checked and it turns out his LDL is a little high, so we're going to try to make a few more healthy decisions around our house so he doesn't need to start any kind of medication.  He's such a fast food junkie that he could cut that out and it would probably do the trick! (I can gladly pass up the fast food...just give me DESSERT!) :) Anywho, I made a list of recipes to make for next week (hence the grocery store trip that didn't happen today), and I'll let you know if any of them are just too fabulous not to pass along. :) And since I have started keeping the tv on during the day (the noise and bright color seems to help Mills notice the difference in night and day), I decided to turn it to Food Network for any possible inspiration. I caught a few good recipes, but this is one I decided NOT to make:
What is this??? You may be wondering... Ham and Banana Casserole. No, seriously.
The ingredients?
Deli ham, bananas, cheddar cheese, slices of white bread, bacon, butter, potato chips, and custard.
Sounds healthy, huh?  AND disgusting!!! Yucky, yucky, Paula! And I do love southern food, but really???
Well Nicholas just popped Mills in the baby bjorn for a little video game time, so I'm gonna run and take a SHOWER (oh, the little things!), and try to finish up addressing the birth announcements.  Have a good night!

  1. No way! Michael's LDL levels were high too--and he doesn't eat any junk food. But we cut out egg yolks and a few other things...and he went back and it was totally normal. The doc said it can fluctuate (sp??) sometimes and not mean anything. Let me know if you get any good green leafy recipes. :)
