The Wallace Word: Our THREE month old!

Yesterday was a big day for Mills - his first Easter, his first time at church, and his 3 month birthday!!!

(I decided every three months I'll post the previous months, too - for a comparison!)

So Mills, what are you up to this month???

-You are cooing and making all sorts of sweet baby noises.

-You had your first "stuffy nose" last week, but after a visit to the pediatrician, a little baby tylenol and benedryl, some saline nose sprays, and a hot steamy shower, you're all better! You were so pitiful trying to eat with your nose all stopped up - it made your momma cry!

-We spent our first week away from Daddy - when I had to go to Myrtle Beach for work meetings. Lulu kept you during the days and Aunt Jennifer and Gray came to stay one night, Great-Grammy another night, and Pappy the next night!

-I went back to work for three weeks (and starting tomorrow I'm back off for 6 with you - woohoo!), and Gammy and MaMa kept you for one week, and Katie mostly all of the next week with a little help from Aunt Kelley on Friday.

-You are on a good schedule now, and I can tell when you're ready to eat, play, or sleep!

-You've JUST grown out of your newborn outfits (we got some good use out of that size, which I thought we'd never even use, ha!), and you can mostly fit into 0-3 months, although some are still too big! In Kissy Kissy brand you can already wear 3-6 months!

-You've started following me with your eyes nonstop. When I'm changing you on the bed or picking up stuff around your room or the living room, you watch every move I make!

-You've started putting lots of things in your mouth - your hands, toys, my hands. And you LOVE your Nuk paci (and so do we - it makes putting you to sleep so easy)!

-After you lost all of your hair in the front in your first month, it's really grown back in over the past month! Who knows what color it will be though, because you have lots of blonde and light brown hair coming in, a little auburn, and a little dark brown...haha, we shall see! Your eyelashes have gotten SO long, even within the last week! You have beautiful eyes, too!

-You've slept in your own room for three nights so far. You "usually" go to bed about 8:30 and wake up about 5:30 or so to eat, then go back to sleep until 9:30 or 10am (thank goodness)! Since you've been in your own crib though, you've been waking up around 2/2:30am, and I have to pop your paci back in a few times before you fall back asleep. It's probably because we had you a little spoiled sleeping in the swing in our room a lot of nights (we alternated with the bassinet), but you slept so well in it, and I know you'll get the hang of this new adjustment. When I'm not working, I love putting you on a pillow in bed next to me after you fall back asleep - you're a good cuddler already. :)

-I'm thankful that you don't make this face too much:

because you're a really happy baby! We can take you anywhere pretty much, and we do!

-You're getting so strong (I know I say that every month!), but when you're laying on your back, you like to hold our hands and you immediately start trying to sit up. You're getting really good at it - won't be too long! :)

-Your personality is really starting to develop, and it isn't hard to make you smile! You especially love when Daddy laughs with/at you, or when I kiss your cheeks and neck - guaranteed smiles! You've laughed out a few times, and it's funny, because it startles you that that sound came out of your body, haha!
