Halfway there!

That's right, this sweet little boy turned SIX MONTHS OLD yesterday! My goodness, where does the time go?!?

We had a great time celebrating up in the NC mountains, and pictures from our fun 4th of July weekend are to come...I just have to have them developed - what does that mean, you may wonder...who has pictures developed anymore?  Well this girl, who leaves her camera at home and has to buy a disposable at the GAS STATION, does. Although when we arrived home and I saw that package from Nikon on my front porch, it made my heart flutter. After using my old digital camera (and of course the disposable this weekend, ha!), I have been missing my good camera mucho, and was so glad to see that precious, sparkly, REPAIRED lens at my door!!! :)  Man, you forget what a difference a nice camera makes!

Anywho, back to the task at hand...this sweet face!

Our precious Mills...what are you up to at SIX months?!?

-You are SO much fun. You are rolling all over the place - you can practically get from one side of the bed to the other, and just recently you've started pushing your bootie up in the air with your legs...looks like you're exercising for the big crawl, which I'm sure will happen before we can blink!

-At the first of this month, I was sick with a cold, and you learned how to "fake cough" for attention...haha, pretty smart little guy...you were enjoying "coughing" and then as soon as we looked at you or would come over to you, you would smile SO big. :)

- You are such a happy and content little baby!

-You've started giving me kisses and I L-O-V-E it! :) You grab my face and open your mouth really wide and give me sloppy wet kisses. They're so sweet.

-You've also started crying "Mamamamamamamama" when you get upset or tired. I'm not entirely sure that you associate it with me, but a lot of our family members think so (especially when I'm away, haha), so I'll take it! :) You've also become so much more cuddly, and when you put your head on our shoulders and cuddle up under our chins, your Daddy and I could just MELT!

-You're a little drooly mcdrool monster and you love to put everything in your mouth, but no teeth breaking through yet!

-You are sooooo close to sitting up on your own. You can do it for a while, until you reach for something to the left or right, then you tumble right over.

-You LOVE to bounce! You will do it in the Johnny Jump Up, in someone's arms...even when we sat you in your rocker to take the picture, you were trying to bounce so much at first that you were rocking yourself in the chair! :) Impressive, buddy!

-You are so aware of everything going on around you; you just look from person to person as they speak when we're having conversations around you. You have also started LOVING Harley - when she comes up to you you get so excited and try to grab her face (mainly her eyeballs for some reason, which I'm not so sure she appreciates, but thankfully she's such a sweet girl and lets you play).

-It is starting to get a little difficult to change your diapers because you want to MOVE (as you can tell from this series of pictures!).  Speaking of that, you're in size 2 diapers and mostly 3-6 months clothing.

-As far as eating is concerned, you've been having rice cereal once a day, have been strictly breastfed (woohoo, can I just say GO US here???), :) and just tried sweet potatoes for the first time last weekend. We're ready to try new foods now (thanks, everyone, for all of the great advice, btw!) and I think squash is next!

-You sleep about 12 hours a night, usually from 8:30pm to 8:30am. 

-Although I miss you like CRAZY during the days, we both love your nanny, Sloan. She does a great job and other than that very first day way back when, you are very good for her and are happy to see her each day. She keeps me updated with all of the new things you are doing when I'm at work (like how you're almost holding your bottle up on your own)!

We are crazy about you (as if you can't tell, right?!?), and we really can't believe you're already halfway to your FIRST birthday! We have your 6 month check-up on Wednesday and I know you've just grown so much.

You bring so much JOY to our lives!
