Katie brought her camera over today so I could get the rest of the bridge run pics...
Such an attractive pic (thanks, Richard!)...snacking on a bagel and talking on the cell to try and find my boys! :)
precious boy...Nicholas had to wake him up to come to meet me and he was in a daze the whole time!
Then yesterday afternoon we took advantage of the beautiful weather and had a little neighborhood fun with Katie, Kirksey, Stephanie, and Kate!
Feeding the turtles and fish in the pond...
Mills was more into eating the bread than throwing it...ha!
cute little family pic
Mills didn't want to leave the water...he kept trying to go swimming...yuck!
But thankfully the girls had picked up some sidewalk chalk and bubbles!!!
...which quickly caught his attention.
sweet little blonde curls blowing in the wind...
Look at Kirksey's cute smile! I kept her today and we had a big time!
{on a side note, I really love our neighborhood and I'm really gonna miss it once we move...it is such a wonderful place for the kiddos!!!}
Then came the BUBBLES! You should have seen Mills' face right when we blew the first batch! Unfortunately I didn't have Katie's camera out then, but he kept pointing and was really excited.
We had a super fun day, friends!
AND, I've made some delicious dinners this week so far, so I figured I would go ahead and share them! Monday night I made this Mexican Chicken Bake...sooo good! Now I couldn't find the crescent seamless dough sheets at Publix, so I just got the can of crescent rolls and kept them pieced together - worked like a charm! I also used 3 chicken breasts that I boiled and shredded {instead of the rotisserie chicken} because they were on sale and I think it's just as easy. This meal was seriously so good that Nicholas begged to eat the leftovers last night instead of burgers at the Heards' house...and this is my husband that before we met did not eat leftovers...what?!? So easy, so good!
Tonight I made this delicious Sauteed Tilapia with Lemon Caper Pan Sauce - wow!
Again, the tilapia was on sale at Pubix {that's how I roll these days} and this recipe is amazingly healthy and you would never know it to taste it...and I mean that in the best kind of way! I served it with my crispy roasted broccoli {which I've posted before} and it was a hit!
I did, however, make these amazing Key Lime Cheesecake Bars to throw all of that out the window! :) Moderation, people...moderation! {Right???} Plus I used 1/3 fat cream cheese and added 1/4 cup of flax seeds to the crust mixture to add in some healthy benefits! It's surprisingly not that bad for you.
I didn't take a picture, but you can just imagine...
:)
Tomorrow we're headed to the Family Circle Cup, but I have PW's Spicy Dr. Pepper Shredded Pork recipe planned for Thursday {except I am modifying it to a crock pot recipe} which we'll eat in soft tacos and then have as sandwiches for leftovers...I'll let you know how they turn out {considering my husband's love affair with dr. pepper - and all things spicy - I'm hoping it'll be a hit}. YUM!
Love the family pic!! Adorable!!! Also, I need your cooking skills!
