Okay, well the title definitely fits the post! :)
First, we have a winner of the fabulous rug compliments of Mohawk...
{drum roll...}
Out of 96 entries, it was comment #33
So congratulations to Margaret! She has a super cute blog, and even cuter kiddos, who I'm sure will enjoy their new rug! {Margaret, please just email me so I can get you the info - thanks!}
Yesterday happened to be a pretty celebrated date for us...
Because three years ago, on May 24, 2008, I was wearing this...
And these sweet girls were walking down the aisle right before me...
here...
And I was marrying the best guy in the whole wide world! :)
With lots of people that I love by my side and celebrating with us!
{with a beautiful Clemson sunset in the background!}
I'm pretty sure a good time was had by all...of all ages!
Have I mentioned my love for The Mighty Kicks...love this band!
Oh what night! It's fun to reminisce...
Loved that day...and really love that guy!
This year, we celebrated our anniversary a night early {because Nicholas had to work late last night} at Husk!
Thankfully it lived up to the hype, and was delicious!
The menu changes nightly, but we had the almaco jack (which is like a firmer mahi) with "big grit" risotto and some roasted cauliflower...out.of.this.world. Top five meal in Charleston for sure! We really wanted to mix it up and get two different entrees, but we couldn't resist...it sounded too good!
And we made the perfect choice! Our two appetizers were delish, too!
...as was this baby!
{when I only have my 50mm lens, this is what ends up happening...blurs the background...including the wife, ha!}
Yesterday I stopped by and got some goodies for us at Sugar Bakeshop, too!
And I cooked dinner for Nicholas - just a simple dish. After the little man was down, we popped some bubbly and foolishly reenacted our wedding day {no, seriously, like kids...we "fast forwarded" through some parts and it was hilarious...if you're a kid...or us. It was like ten minutes long, and I'm more or less documenting this memory for myself so I don't forget it, so don't make fun.} ;)
We used our "official" wedding flutes and even pretended the cupcakes were wedding cake...yes, we're huge dorks. It's okay.
Then we pulled up this song on youtube and danced...Sister Hazel's This Kind of Love was our first dance song...is it sad that it took us about a minute to think of what the name of the song was and who sang it?!?
I'm ending the post with these song lyrics, because it's just so perfect:
"This Kind Of Love"
And this kind of love makes me feel ten feet tall
It makes all my problems fall
And this kind of trust helps me to hold the line
I'll be there every time
This kind of love it's what I dreamed about
Yeah it fills me up
Baby it leaves no doubt
This kind of love it's why I'm standing here
It's something that we can share
I can't enough of this kind of love
This kind of hope is what I try to find
And now I can't deny I believe
And this kind of faith is so unshakeable
It's unmistakable
It's bigger than me
[Chorus]
Your love can move a mountain
It makes my world go round
It's always there to guide me
I'm so lucky that I found
This kind of love is what I dreamed about
Yeah it fills me up
Well baby it leaves no doubt
This kind of love it's why I'm standing here
It's something that we can share
I can't get enough of this kind of love
This kind of love
And this kind of love makes me feel ten feet tall
It makes all my problems fall
And this kind of trust helps me to hold the line
I'll be there every time
This kind of love it's what I dreamed about
Yeah it fills me up
Baby it leaves no doubt
This kind of love it's why I'm standing here
It's something that we can share
I can't enough of this kind of love
This kind of hope is what I try to find
And now I can't deny I believe
And this kind of faith is so unshakeable
It's unmistakable
It's bigger than me
[Chorus]
Your love can move a mountain
It makes my world go round
It's always there to guide me
I'm so lucky that I found
This kind of love is what I dreamed about
Yeah it fills me up
Well baby it leaves no doubt
This kind of love it's why I'm standing here
It's something that we can share
I can't get enough of this kind of love
This kind of love
