Year in Review...

And what a fabulous and blessed year it has been!  Here's a little recap of life in 2009 with the Wallaces!

January - Well, I had just cut 13 inches of hair off and donated it to Locks of Love...

And we rang in 2009 with great friends at 82 Queen (Leah was the one pregnant last year...Calee, that means next year is YOUR turn, ha!)...

Took some silly pictures like these...

And then went to a little get-together at Jeremy and Chelsea's house for the final countdown!
We also took our annual winter trip to visit Sam and Danielle in Boston!

...where we danced...

played...

Tried on lots of bridesmaid dresses...

And got in snowball fights in the middle of the street late at night!

Ahhh, so much fun! We then hopped down to NYC for a few days, and it was Nicholas' FIRST TRIP!!! I couldn't wait to share my "former city" with him! :)
Nicholas in front of my old apartment building:

And of course we went to the Empire State Building

Ate lots of delicious food (Tao, Serendipity - of course, a few local places, and here at Gramercy Tavern - yum - and our waiter was even originally from Charleston)!

Got cupcakes from Magnolia's...

Saw Wicked on Broadway...

And went shopping at Barneys, of course!

January was ONE FUN MONTH!!!

February - Ran my 2nd race w/ the girls - Folly Beach 5K - and it was great!
Enjoying brunch afterwards (our tradition) at Fat Hen:

Leah moved in with us for a few months while Matt was up in RI... and I loved it!
Celebrated Valentine's Day with dinner at Red Drum Gastropub in Mt. P

And had some fun back in Dillon with a scavenger hunt night one weekend that was an absolute BLAST!

March - Went to Columbia to hang out with Kathy and Stephen (and Will...the next morning) for St. Patty's Day fun! And oh what fun it was!
We met up with Sara and Adam, too!

And took more ridiculous pictures like these:

(and yes, the guys were there, too!)
April - Completed the Cooper River Bridge Run for the first time (RUNNING 6.2 miles nonstop!) in just over an hour!

Took a new job in Charleston, thus ending my daily commute from Charleston to Columbia...which I did for 10 months!!!
Celebrated my 26th BIRTHDAY with sweet friends at Cypress!

And got to celebrate again (and Ashley's bday, too!) with lunch at Rue de Jean

And took a very long (MUCH longer on the ride home...but totally worth it!!!) road trip to Columbus, Ohio for Liz and Andrew's wedding! Us girls at the brunch on Ohio State's campus!

And at the BEAUTIFUL reception! (By the way who knew Columbus was such a cute city!!)

May - Danielle and Sam came to visit!  We celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary and took a trip to Florida to visit Mike, Maria, and the girls at their lake house! Cutting the top of our cake:

We spent the last night of our trip by ourselves, and played board games until all hours of the night... remember what I blogged about at Christmastime with Nicholas and the painful game of Monopoly???

hehehehehehehe.
We also got some exciting news!

(If you're wondering the significance of the baby food, to tell Nicholas, I cooked those same foods - chicken, green beans, and mac and cheese - and then he opened up this little gift with dessert!)
Us that night!

June - We spent lots of time out at Folly, some time up at the beach house with family in NMB...

I went to training in New Jersey for 2 LONG months for my new job, but it gave us the chance to make another trip to NYC, this time with the Yoes and friends!

And it was one crazy weekend - VIP clubs, limo rides, almost getting kicked out of a restaurant (after a really embarrassing toast to "Leslie") - and yes, I was still pregnant...

Oh, and I purchased this dear little friend oh a whim, muhaha :)

We also celebrated the guys finishing INTERN YEAR! A boat cruise was in order to commence their new titles of "2nd year residents!" :)

July - We had a super fun 4th of July party at our house, complete with a slip and slide, blow up pool, Nicholas' famous margaritas, and Rock Band - wish I could find the photos to post!
Sweet little Callahan was born July 24th, and I drove STRAIGHT from the airport to the hospital later that morning!!!

Loving on sweet little miss

August - August was our month of concerts, and we saw OAR here in Charleston, Coldplay in Charlotte, and decided to fly down to West Palm Beach to meet up with Mike and Maria for the 2 night Dave Matthews Band concert!

September - Nicholas turned 28 (holy cow!!)  :)  We celebrated w/ the Heards and the Yoes at Peninsula Grill - yum!

Nicholas w/ his favorite gift - one for the little guy!

I flew up to Newport, RI for Danielle's Bachelorette Party - so much fun!

And then 2 weeks later we flew up to Mystic, CT for Sam and Danielle's BEAUTIFUL wedding!
The bride and matron of honor!

Beautiful bride and her mom!

At the reception, with Nicholas and Ryan!

October - We traveled up to Spartanburg for Wofford Homecoming and got to spend time with some great friends (and I hung out at a frat house til 2am...a little different feeling being pregnant and surrounded by college kids, haha)!

We also made it up to our first and only Clemson game of the year (stinkin' residency), but at least we got to watch Clemson beat Virginia!  And we had our first baby shower, on Halloween in Charleston!

November - We worked a lot on Mills' nursery, I had a second baby shower in Seneca, MaMa and Peyton came to stay with us for a week, we spent Thanksgiving in Dillon and enjoyed spending time with family, and we had our third baby shower in Columbia!

December - Busy, busy month full of being 9 months pregnant, Christmas parties and preparations, two baby showers for our sweet nephew, Gray, lots of naps, good times with friends and family, and sitting back and taking it easy - just perfect! :)

(I didn't put any pictures w/ November and December b/c I was actually blogging then, so you could just scroll on down if your heart so desires!) :)

Looking forward to 2010! Lots of love!
