Nicholas planned a surprise weekend getaway for my bday! I know, we live 10 minutes from the beach, but it's different to get away where you're oceanfront 24/7, pools and beverages galore, and people wait on you hand and foot! :)

We hopped down the interstate to Hilton Head, and stayed at the Westin resort...it seriously felt like we were far, far away on vacation, and it was fantastic!! :) Mills was very impressed with his kids club bag of goodies {and so was his momma - I'm really appreciating the way places treat kids these days. Westin? A+++}
We headed out late Friday night to have dinner at my fav sushi restaurant. I ate here all.the.time when I lived here during college summers!
And then Mills crashed in his very posh hotel accommodations {aka the pack and play in the bathroom, ha! BEST place for little ones to sleep while traveling} It was actually dark in the bathroom but you can't tell with the flash.
Saturday morning we enjoyed breakfast by the fountains...

It was chilly and dreary Saturday morning, but we had to get out on the beach. We also swam in the covered, heated pool - awesome!!! Luckily, it warmed up MAJORLY around lunchtime, so we ended up having a beautiful-weathered weekend!

And this was the point during the day where momma headed to the spa for an 80-minute massage.
