Random thoughts...

What a nasty day it was here in Charleston today!!!
This is what I wanted to do all day...
stay in my PJ's and be lazy! But this is what I did instead...worked in the pouring rain!!!
Do you ever have those days where you just want to sleep in late, not take a shower, not put on makeup, not fix your hair, not put on work clothes and heels, and just drink yummy coffee, stay comfy, chat with friends, and either watch tv/movies or look at stuff on the computer all day long...?????? Anywho, it was one of those days!!

But the good news is I had this for lunch...(well not this exact meal, but an egg and cheese biscuit, cinnamon biscuit, and coffee) Haha, if I couldn't stay in bed all day, I could AT LEAST have breakfast for lunch!! Right?!?!?

I'm gonna be a better blogger starting THIS week...coming up later this week: NAME NEWS, a gallery of CUTE gifts that Baby Wallace has already received from sweet friends, and other fun stuff!! You're excited, right? :)

Well I made homemade chicken pot pie for dinner and the oven just started beeping, so I better go before the hubby starves to death! :) Have a great night!

It's a......

BOY!!!

That's right! :) And we're just THRILLED!! Nicholas teared up whenever she gave us the news - I know he was super excited, too! The ultrasound/anatomy scan was sooo cool - and best of all, he looks just as healthy as can be so far! He was moving around and posing like crazy for the entire hour of the ultrasound (probably thanks to the pre-caffeine suggestion from Jennifer!). Technology is just so cool - we were able to already get a glimpse at what his cute, little face looks like, and watch him kick, rub his face, stretch, etc! And our sonographer was so sweet, and explained everything as she was measuring each body part and examining organs. Nicholas was very tuned into that part and they discussed many other detailed medical things that the rest of us stayed out of, hehe. :) It's just so hard to believe that all of that action and growth has been/is going on inside of my stomach - crazy (and such a God thing)! I didn't want the appointment to be over!! :) Well it's pretty late and I have a LONG day of work tomorrow with my manager, but I just wanted to post a few pics of our cute little GUY before I hit the sack! Check him out! :)

He was holding up a "#1" haha :)
Everyone said it looks like he has his mom's lips, ha!
Little punter or soccer player kickin' away... and he's obviously a little show-off here with his "boyhood."And this was a quick little video they did of his movements - they're pretty choppy because of the quality, but you get the point. :)

Doesn't he just look so sweet?????????

Tomorrow is the big day!!

...for finding out the gender, that is!!!

Yay, I'm sooooooo excited!!! This is shaping up to be a big week! I (think!) I felt the little bebe move for the first time over the weekend! Nicholas and I flew down to West Palm Beach for a 2-day Dave Matthews Band concert with his aunt/uncle/cousins, and Saturday morning I felt 3 little thumps after I woke up, while still laying in bed, and then on Sunday I felt some little movements both in the morning and before I went to sleep last night. It always happens when I'm laying down, but it's such a crazy feeling!!!

Anywho, so onto the news at hand...tomorrow at 1:00pm we will know if little Baby Wallace is a boy or a girl! And, of course, the most important part - if he/she is healthy - since it's the full anatomy scan. My mom, grandmother, and Peyton (little cousin) are coming down from the upstate, and Nicholas's mom is coming from Dillon - I'm so glad they're all gonna be there! And thankfully Nicholas is on a renal consult month so he's able to come over during lunch (hence the 1:00 appt)! And I'll officially be 20 weeks tomorrow, too! BIG DAY!! :)

I'll share the news just as soon as I have it! :)

First official post and some baby bump pics!

So...after much persuasion from friends (one in particular - KATH!), I have decided to get my bootie in gear on the blog front! I am 19 weeks and 1 day along and we find out the sex of the baby next Tuesday - less than a week, I can't wait!! I started out thinking it may be a boy, but Nicholas was so sure it was a girl that he swayed my vote. :) He said he was sitting at 95/5 (percent sure)...mainly because he just felt like he was gonna be surrounded by a bunch of girlies (so far Harley and I have him outnumbered)...I couldn't really disagree, because he's just so good with little girls, and even dealing with big girls, too, like me! :) Then last weekend we were in Dillon and one of Nicholas's family friends came over and did the ole needle/thread/wedding ring trick on Jennifer, Anna, Kelley, and me. She also did it on herself and on Linda and it said exactly what sex of babies they had and in the exact order!!! Jennifer really thinks she's having a girl, she took the Intelligender (0ver-the-counter gender test) and it said girl, AND the needle trick said GIRL, too! She did mine a few different times and every time it said this baby is a BOY! It actually predicted I will have 4, in the order of boy, girl, boy, girl!! Ha! So we'll see about that! My mother-in-law has thought all along I'm having a boy, too! Sooooo, after all of this fool-proof testing (ha!) I am convinced...I even bought a few cute little on sale baby boy outfits when I ran in Old Navy yesterday (b/c I had already bought a few cute girl ones on sale at Target a while back, and I wanted to be just as excited about the purchases I already have when/if I find out it's a boy)! The thing is, I have absolutely NO preference - not at all!! Of course, I definitely want a girl somewhere in the mix (hello, miss clemson 2030-ish!), haha, but I would LOVE to have a boy/big brother first, and I know we want to have more than one (of course I haven't been through that whole "giving birth" process, so what do i know!), so long story short, I don't care either way but I'm READY to know!!!! :) :) :)

So now after that novel, what's a baby blog without some bump pictures?? ;)

This is at 6 weeks - close to when we found out!

Side shot!

So I took a break from belly pics for a while, but this was 14 weeks!
15 weeks - sorry for the mess in the background! I was in NJ for work and was living out of a hotel room for 6 weeks! And this was taken with my cell phone...beautiful bathroom background, lovely! :)
16 weeks - huge difference!
More to come...I've gotta get with it! :)
