The baby has a bed!

Good news...baby boy dos has a bed...and cute bedding, too!  We ended up going with this crib from Amazon {which, by the way, was $143 when I ordered it the week before last - score!} because after getting a great deal of advice from other mommas of two, we decided that leaving our "super sleeper" little guy in his crib was the best decision for us...I mean, why mess up a good thing, right?!?  The last thing I want is a newborn AND a toddler up at 3am!  Plus, $143 is cheaper than a pack and play, so why not!?  So after getting a top-of-the-line crib for Mills, and having his bedding custom made...which was all pretty much done by this time in my last pregnancy, I've been itching to get the rest of the room picked out and ready!  I was leaning towards custom bedding from Etsy this go-round...until I saw Serena & Lily's new James bedding...and it was perfect {thanks, Mom and Phil}!
We got a great dresser at the Pottery Barn outlet on the way to Asheville last weekend, too, so things are definitely coming together!  Friday night, Nicholas' parents came over and we put together the crib, dresser, and rearranged the room to the most functional {yet still aesthetically pleasing} setup.  This room will still double as our guest room {yes, we're outgrowing our house!} - so fitting a queen bed, crib, dresser, side table, and rocker all in one room - and making it look good - was a bit of a challenge!  I'll share more pictures of the room as it comes together, but hey, we're making progress around here!  :)

New Year's Fun

Since I'm still in catch up mode, I figured I'd better cover Christmas and New Year's...just for the record! :) For some reason on this 70+ degree day, I felt like posting our New Year's pics, since we were at the beach and it was about the same temp!  We were playing outside this morning and I had to run in and change into shorts and a t-shirt because I was burning up!
Anywho, on to New Year's...
The flag says "Joy" - I thought that was pretty explanatory of the little guy in the picture! :)
Playing on the beach in your PJ's and Uggs - what could be more fun in December?!?
Dylan and Mills had fun rolling in the sand together!
silly little goose!
Picking up shells and looking for "shark teef"
 The pics look a little funky because it was so bright outside = super exposure!
 so.much.fun.
Madison being silly! :)
Daddy and Millsy!

"Dee-dee" and Mills!
New Year's Eve was pretty low-key.  We just hung around the beach house...and of course those that could partake, enjoyed the oysters and vino!
I don't know what was going on, but the guys in this pic made me laugh. :)

We don't take a ton of pics of the three of us, so I just included them all!
Hangin' out with the boys.
Fam again!
Adam and Kelley
Usual beach house behavior by the guys...
HANDSOME.
Nicholas' aunt and uncle and their girls and boyfriends came up from Miami, too, but somehow I managed not to take any pics with the whole crew {I think b/c I was taking it easy while Maria was taking so many pictures...I'll have to get some from her!}
On New Year's Day, Betsy and I took the kids to the aquarium while the guys played golf.
Mills loved it!  He was pretty intrigued by this little guy...
 {he was even clapping for him/her...as you can tell in the second pic below, haha}
Mills also enjoyed the fact that their Christmas decorations were still up! :)
 After golfing, Nicholas came to meet up with us - yay!!!
Check out the nose on that guy!!!  Mills liked the underwater tunnel!
...And it was a good thing we stashed some Uncrustables in our purses, because it turns out that fish-watching can work up quite an appetite! :)
Mills was mesmerized by the shark's teeth...he kept talking about them after we left...and if you ask him about the aquarium, he'll tell you he saw "beesh" {fish} and the sharks' teeth!
Stingray petting with Daddy!
Dylan and Maddy with their goodies.
We had a fun and relaxing New Year's weekend...with a full house of people and beautiful weather.  Christmas post coming soon...and I can't wait to tell you about the fun time we had this past weekend in Asheville celebrating Robert's 30th birthday!! :)
