Mills goes to college...

For his first official visit! :)
Last Monday Mills, Gammy, Peyton and I took a little tour de Clemson. As a former tour guide myself, :) I showed Mills all of the best spots around campus.
We enjoyed walking around and seeing Tillman Hall,
The pretty gardens next the the President's house...
We walked by Bowman Field...where lots of the college boys throw the football around when the weather is warm, and the girls lay out in the sun. :) Mommy also spent lots of time there during fraternity rush and while building floats (or just socializing) during homecoming week! We also celebrated Bid Days and First Fridays there every year.
Mills had a blast!
He said Clemson was totally at the top of his college list!
And of course, what Clemson visit is complete without a stop by Death Valley?!?
With Mommy and Gammy:
Mills says, "Goooooooo Tigers!!!"
"C-L-E-M-S-O-N T-I-G-E-RRRR-S, Fight Tigers, Fight Tigers, Fight Fight Fight!"
Checkin' out the field!
I know, I know...there are so many but I just couldn't decide! :)
We also cruised by the amphitheater, right in the middle of campus...
(oh, and the library in the background, too - but not as many FUN hours were spent there by mommy, haha!)
Group shot!
After living in Columbia and Charleston, this momma forgot all of the hills of the upstate - especially pushing a stroller! :) But we had such a fun time!
Peyton was a great help, though!
And lastly, we walked by the sorority dorms so Mills could have his picture taken where his momma lived (and of course Lever was just across the horseshoe, too - where I lived freshman year) with Aunt Kathy (well, one of the many places momma lived with Aunt Kathy)!
And of course I told Gammy that if Mills happens to marry an ADPi one day, wouldn't this be a great pic for the wedding slideshow?!? Haha, you never know, people! :)
We really enjoyed our afternoon sooooo much!
We think Clemson is one of the best places on earth.

Last weekend's visit

On Saturday morning, we packed up and got ready to go!
Sweet big sister Harley babysat while I got things together...
Before we left, we had a SUPER FUN morning date with Leah & Callahan (and Cindy!) and Kristen & Thurman.
Mills waiting for his friends to arrive...
Elementary school friends and OUR BABIES!!!
Kristen and Thurman (almost 2 months); Leah and Callahan (almost 9 months); and me and Mills (3.5 months).
Poor Thurman had a gassy tummy, and Mills just wanted to eat his hands!
Callahan coming to check out the boys...
Mills says, "Hey buddy, it's okay..."
Mills and Callahan were concerned with the little guy.
Me and little Thurman Thomas!
Mills sure enjoyed visiting with everyone...
...and of course his beautiful girlfriend:

Then we were upstate bound! Saturday night I got to celebrate my birthday with the fam!
Peyton even brought her guitar and played and sang "Happy Birthday" to me! :)
Thankfully my mom didn't let me go without blowing out candles on my birthday! :)
And Mills got in lots of quality time with Gammy, MaMa, Aunt Myra, and Peyton! Randy and Kyle came out to see him, too.
Peyton is on her way to being the BEST little babysitter - she is so good with him!
Mills also got to meet my aunt and uncle, Mary Ellen and Richard.
...Our long-time neighbor and friend, Lynn...
...And, Miss Ladonne!
(we even had breakfast at Miss Ladonne and Mr. Tony's house before we headed back on Tuesday!)
We enjoyed getting to see everyone, watching Peyton sing her solo (and perform her speaking part!) in the play at church, shopping in Anderson, lunching in Seneca, having a blast in Clemson (more on that TOMORROW!), and I even made it through a long dermatologist appt with Mills - fun, fun - haha!
Mills got to sleep in my old crib during our visit - he looked so cute in it! (I wanted to get a picture, but it wasn't worth the chance of waking him up at the time, ha!)
Oh, and before I go, I have to give a shout out of CONGRATS to my friend and former "rommie," Kathy, who is pregnant with Baby #2 (since it's now on facebook, I figure it's officially fair game, right?)!!! That's right, the Sowards family is expecting a new addition this December!
Geez, Kath...we've come a long way from this:
:)
Congrats, Stephen, Kathy, and Will!  Mills can't wait to have another playmate!!!
Goodnight!
