to New Year's, that is!
Yes, I'm a whole seventeen days late in this post, but hey, Happy New Year!!! :)
Last year I did an amazing and extensive
"year in review" post...haha, this year, with baby and 7,000 pictures taken in 2010...let's just say I'm not gonna get around to it like I had hoped! But you know what? That's okay, I've got plenty of posts to look back to, and eleventy-billion pictures to prove it!
Plus, last year I was about to pop pregnant, and Nicholas was working an overnight shift at the VA hospital, so I had pretty much nothing to do with my time on New Year's Eve (other than a trip up to the hospital to ring in the new year together with a little sparkling cider). Thankfully this year we were able to head up to the beach house for the weekend. Even though Nicholas had to work New Year's Day evening, it was still nice to get away for a couple of nights!
of course I didn't get a single picture of the beach, but hey, it was chilly!
but i did get plenty of this little cutie!
and these two cuties...
We had a pretty low-key celebration, just hung around the house, but it was pefect.
I realize there are a ton of this same pic/pose, but little man's face was changing in all of them so just focus on him, mmm kay?
A lot of 5-hour-energy was consumed...10-hour-energy in Nicholas' case...but he was post-call for the eve, so what can you do???
even mills partook...
just kidding. )
Aunt Kelley and Uncle Adam!
Kevin and Jennifer
2010 was a good year for us new moms! :)
self-portrait...those are never a good idea....
Watching the ball drop!
If you're not cool with people making out, then don't go any futher...
Sicko!!!
I kid, I kid! :)
I tried to look cool with Michael in Kevin's hat...
except I'm not.
huge dork. :)
And then we played a Wii dancing game...
hubby breakin' it down!
go jess!
go adam!
Kelley was moving so fast that she was blurry. She and I were down to the championship round...
me arguing that it wasn't picking up my movements.
true story.
jennifer was totally taking my side - thanks for backing me up, girlfriend.
i swear it was delaying everything.
Anywho, nonetheless, Kelley won.
There, I said it.
:)
haha! It was super fun!
There was also plenty of baby-watching...
I mean, who can resist these cute cousins???
My precious babe on New Year's Day.
We also played cornhole...
Suzy made an appearance {and if you know Suzy then you know what a treat that was!}
...the newest member of the family, Rudy, got to play with her big cousins...
And we steamed oysters, enjoyed fresh tuna, and had delicious shrimp, too!
Cheers, 17 days in, to an awesome 2011!
