BIRTHday FUN!

We're finally back in town!  :)

...And I've got a lot of catching up to do on a wonderful birthday, surprise weekend to HHI, then an unexpected week off for Nicholas which resulted in spending last week at the beach house! Followed by Easter fun in the upstate! This past week has been a roller coaster...

Let's start with my birthday - Thursday, April 14th!

I enjoyed lunch with some great girlfriends {and sweet boys} at Basil - yum, pad thai!

Then we figured we would test out the "new cupcakes" on the block...macarons! They're all the rage, you know.

{ps, macarons, or "french macaroons" are not to be confused with the typical macaroons...see here, should you need clarification}

While the lady working the store was authentically French, and authentically RUDE, we still indulged ourselves and split a little sampler - so unique and tasty!

So fun!

I came home from lunch to find these beauties on my doorstep, too!

We enjoyed a celebratory birthday dinner later that night with the Schonfelds!
