100th Post - Weekend Recap!

WooHoo - it's my 100th post!!
How exciting is that?!?
I'm so glad I finally decided to stick with it and document our lives from pregnancy and beyond!
And here we are...
We had a great weekend...on Friday night we had the MUSC Roast to celebrate making it through another year (seriously...) of residency, and to honor/make fun of the 3rd year residents who are finishing up! It's crazy to think that this time next year we'll be almost DONE! Time really flies!
Dad giving Mills a bottle after we had our scrumptious dinner! Mills was even featured in this  year's slideshow - he's kind of a big deal - and there were three new babies there!
Ashley and Katie hangin' out
Last year I was pregnant at the roast, this year is Katie's turn! :) Ashley, Calee, Liz - any of you are welcome to take on the honors next year... :)
Nicholas being silly and inappropriate...aka his usual self!
Seriously, honey??? HELP, I'm married to a 15-year-old boy!  :)
Let's try this again...
The sweet parents-to-be!!!
It was a late night so I walked Mills around in the stroller until he fell asleep.
"Where's Waldo Mills?"
Love that little stud muffin!
Nicholas was off on Saturday, and we enjoyed our day together...of course the guys had a little "father/son time" (as Nicholas calls it, of course)
And Saturday night we enjoyed dinner at Sesame with our fabulous friends!
And this cutie pie!
And of course this one, too!
Our future mother-in-law/daughter-in-law pic...
The kiddos were checkin' each other out
Mills is such a gentleman. He says, "Of course you can play with my toys, Callahan!"
"And we can hold hands, too"
But the FUNNIEST moment was when she stuck her finger in his mouth, and considering the fact that he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth, he had no problems with it!
hahahaha
Now that's a good friend...she even lends you her finger to suck on!
Katie and Richard played with Callahan, too!
Poor Katie has been soooo sick, so she said it was good to be around the babies so she can be reminded that it's ALL worth it. And it totally is! :)
Dinnertime!
(by the way, Mills takes a bottle so much better from Nicholas than from me...I think he gets confused when I give him a bottle, ha!)
Look at that cool cat!
And Callahan wanted to give Mills a 'goodbye kiss'
Any maybe steal his paci???
Nah, just a sweet kiss.
And then we decided to go get dessert downtown!
YUM!
my sweetie pies
"If I could just get that foot into my mouth!"
What a big girl!
And look who got her first taste of ice cream!!!
She LOVED it, just like her mommy does (and aunt nicole, too)! :)
Auntie Leah got some cuddles and smiles from Millsy-bear...
But after a while Callahan decided enough was enough and SHE wanted her mommy! They were teasing her that they got another bebe. :)
Then we tried for one more pic with the little guy,
but that didn't work out too well, haha!
We had so much fun with all of our sweet friends this weekend!
Unfortunately, I am getting sick. I had a little bit of a sore throat last week, and thought it had gone away b/c I was feeling much better yesterday, but it came back with a vengeance this afternoon and I think I have a really bad cold, yuck! Who gets a cold in the summer?!?
Off to get some rest, hopefully.  Goodnight, ya'll!

5 Months Old!

This precious little love of ours is FIVE months old today!
This little guy is smiling like crazy now, but of course I couldn't get him to show off that precious gummy smile for his 5 month picture! (it didn't help that I had like 2.2 seconds to take the pic today!)
Sweet little Millsy-bear, what are you up to this month???
-You have become SO MUCH FUN!!! Your personality is starting to really develop and it is absolutely the best thing in the whole wide world to watch!
-Your talking had lessened at the beginning of the month, but after our trip to the beach, it really escalated. Now you are squealing and in the past few days you have let out some little screams...it's so funny because it startles you that that BIG noise came from YOU! :)
-You are a drooling machine and you've starting blowing bubbles...and your spit (I think they call that "blowing raspberries"). You make a mess but it's so stinkin' cute.
-You are LAUGHING so much now and we LOVE it. Big time. You're very ticklish and laugh when I tickle you, and then just the other day your daddy looked at you and you cracked up. He would look away and then look back and you thought it was hilarious! He would make a funny noise and it was startle you, but then you would chuckle away. So that's our new trick, and I could do it allllll day long. No, seriously, I totally could. :)
-You are a roly-poly-oly. When you're laying on your activity mat, you roll over to your stomach every 30 seconds...and then after a while you want someone to flip you back over...asap. You are loving your exersaucer and the Johnny Jump Up. You want to bounce all the time!
-You're a great sleeper, and you now fall asleep in your crib on your own (95% of the time) and it makes it so much easier for us. We've finally stopped swaddling you b/c you're the Great Houdini and figured out how to get out of it every single time. But now, even though we tuck your blanket in, you pull it out and sometimes cover your face with it - we have the video monitor (LOVE it) and also check on you all the time b/c we know "they" say not to let you have a loose blanket, but you love to cuddle with it and pull it close and we just try to keep a good eye on you. You also like to cuddle with the giraffe noise maker...you scoot all the way into the corner of the crib to cuddle up to that thing, haha. You sleep about 9 or 10 hours a night, wake up to eat around 6:30 or 7am, then usually go back to sleep for 2-3 hours. I lay you next to me after I feed you and it's the bestest. (yes, I know that's not a word but it's necessary for me to describe how much I love your morning cuddles!) Did I mention how stinkin' cute you are???
-You moved up to size 2 diapers last week, weigh 16lbs 4oz, and are wearing mostly 3-6 month clothing, although you can still wear a good bit of the 0-3 month outfits, too.
-This past month you've been to the beach and felt the sand in your toes and ocean waves on your feet! You also got in the swimming pool for the first time.
Each day is more fun with you than the last and we feel so blessed to be your parents!
OH how we love you, our sweet 5 month old baby!

Just Jump!

Hope you all had a nice, long, and celebratory Memorial Day Weekend! We sure did! Unfortunately I only took just a few pictures, but we headed to Nicholas' parents house for the weekend, and Nicholas and I went to Carowinds on Saturday. Yes, we're 10 year olds... :)  We just wanted some thrilling fun, and surprisingly enough it was our first time to a theme park together...can you believe that?!? We were going to go to Disney World last summer when we were in Florida, but I was pregnant and Nicholas said he didn't want to ride all of the "fun rides" without me. :)  So anywho, I learned that Nicholas is a FRONT-seat roller coaster rider...as in he likes to be in the front for every single one, haha - I usually just take the shortest line! But we rode everything in the front and it was definitely a rush! We rode the new Intimidator roller coaster and it was really the best one we've ever ridden - so smooth and at 80 mph, pretty thrilling! UNfortunately, Nicholas lost a very important item on our last ride (well, it wasn't going to be our last until this happened!) - ahem, his WALLET! We don't know if it dropped into one of the many ponds below, or into someone's hands (and pocket!), but we both felt a little nauseous after the last ride {which was laying on our backs and going backwards...bleh!} and I spent the ride home calling the banks and credit card company...awesome. Oh my silly sweet husband. But I kept reminding him how much worse it could have been - hey, we could have lost our wedding rings or my "push present" earrings!!
We enjoyed the rest of the weekend with family and celebrating Jennifer's 27th birthday! Happy Birthday, Aunt Jesser! :)
And we enjoyed the pool at Lulu and Pappy's house!
Too bad there was a storm the night before, so the pool was a little too dirty for swimming (well, except for Harley, of course)!
But Daddy did let Millsy-bear get a feel for the water again!
We're hoping to start swimming lessons when Mills is old enough - 6 months - how cute and fun will that be?!? (obviously it's with a parent!)
The water was a little warmer in the hot tub...
And now we're just back in Chucktown getting back in the swing of things with this cute little monkey!
Aunt Kelley came over to play last night, too!
And Mills is still "enjoying" his rice cereal...kind of, haha...
He makes it quite difficult to feed him as he's squirming around in the bumbo seat...I imagine this will only get tougher. ;)
I sure do love that messy face.
And oh my goodness he is laughing all the time now and I am loving it!!! I can't wait to get home to him every single day! Sloan is doing a great job keeping him and she makes me feel so at ease because I know he's in good hands!
Of course as soon as I took this video below he started cracking up at me...I promise to get a laughing video asap. Every time we look away and then look back at him he loses it laughing...ahhh I LOVE it.
Little Millsy just bouncin' around...
