VOTE!

WE voted today...did YOU???
Even these sweet cheeks got a sticker to prove it!
And in honor of this day, a few quotes from our founding and forming "fathers" about our Father...

"The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically universal in our country."  - Calvin Coolidge, 1923
"Intelligence, patriotism, Christianity, and a firm reliance on Him, who has never yet forsaken this favored land, are still competent to adjust, in the best way, all our present difficulty."  – Abraham Lincoln
"The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained."  - George Washington, 1789

"It is necessary for the welfare of the nation that men's lives be based on the principles of the Bible. No man, educated or uneducated, can afford to be ignorant of the Bible."  - Theodore Roosevelt

"We have this day restored the Sovereign to Whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in heaven and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His kingdom come."  - Samuel Adams, 1776 (at the signing of the Declaration of Independence)
"Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience...without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure...If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under." - Ronald Reagan

"The rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God."  - John F. Kennedy

"Our culture is superior. Our culture is superior because our religion is Christianity and that is the truth that makes men free."  - Pat Buchanan

Regardless of the political party, praying that our winning candidates hold these same truths!
Happy Election Day!

Halloween Weekend Part I - The Park

We had such a fun Halloween weekend with family and friends! Sorry for my delay of last week's post...after I lost the whole thing I just couldn't bring myself to do it all over again, haha, so I'm moving on to Halloween then I'll redo the other post in the next couple of days. :)
Let's see...my mom, aunt, grandmother, and cousin all came in town on Friday night, which was perfect because Nicholas was on call! Saturday morning we headed to Charleston Cafe for lunch/brunch.
Then we did a little (early Christmas) shopping and headed to the park for a some fun!
Mills loves to swing!
I know what you're thinking...the poor child never gets his picture taken!
And never gets any love...
It's sad really, isn't it??? ;)
Swinging with Gammy,
And  his great MaMa!
little pumpkin!
Big kids swinging!
Even bigger kids swinging!
Or maybe I should say older kids...haha that sounds better I think!
Mom and Myra!
then Peyton and Myra!
Then...wait for it...
the HILARIOUS jump out!
And Peyton says, "Hey Mom, I can do that, too!"
Then the contraption where my aunt tried to make me barf...hence the face! :p
Ugh, things that go round and round make me want to vom.
What's that saying..."payback's a _____?" ;)
Haha, PAYBACK!! :)
Don't worry, we only gave the wee babe a tiny swirl.
Peytie and Millsy.
He thought it was pretty fun!
Mills' first time down the slide!
Peyton on the dolphin!
Cute!
Myra, Peyton, and MaMa
Beautiful day!
Peyton on the pier!
And this little guy was OUT!
Then it was back to the house to get dressed up...coming tomorrow! :)
