Quite overdue...Robert's B-day in Asheville!

{not to mention this baby...which is almost overdue, as well! :)}
A month and a half ago, we headed to Asheville for the weekend to celebrate one of our dear friend's 30th birthday!  This is the house we stayed at - it was perfect for the weekend's festivities!
Everyone got in pretty late Friday night, but that didn't seem to stop the celebration from continuing until the wee hours of the night...I think we went to bed around 4am?!?  Yep, true story.
There was lots of guitar-playing and pretty much awesomeness, since Bo and Bear were there with their talent galore...{#needtobreathe...if you haven't checked them out before, you DEFINITELY need to - plus, as I've said before, they're from my hometown...even cooler.}  :)
Haha
They played anything and everything for the man of the weekend! :)
And of course, well after midnight, it was time for cupcakes to celebrate Robert's 30th!!!
Bear on the piano...and one of my cutest and dearest friends, Calee {and wife of the birthday boy!}
Saturday morning afternoon began quite the same way...
...and then we headed downtown Asheville to do a little shopping and walking around.
Found a store with FITS socks...score for the Yoes! :)
And we had a great dinner with even better company!
Nicholas had a great time celebrating his best bud's birthday...and he wasn't ready to go home! :(
Almost all of the couples
Sweet friends.
us.
Sweet friends and us.  :)
And we hit up Tupelo Honey for brunch before heading home Sunday afternoon.  We had such a great time celebrating such a wonderful friend - man, we miss our Charleston friends!

And just to keep you updated on the pregnancy forefront...no news, my friends.
{39 weeks}
Went to the doctor on Friday - still no progress - so I go back tomorrow.  If we still have no progress tomorrow, then they will induce me on my due date {Thursday} - crazy!!!  I'll keep you posted!

What we've been up to around here...

Let's see...being 38.5 weeks pregnant!
I went to the doctor this morning...no progress.  He said it appears this little guy may be more stubborn than Mills was, so I have to go back on Friday to be checked again and discuss "the options."  My due date is next Thursday, so I'm hoping he'll choose to make his own debut between now and then!  I didn't have to be induced with Mills, and everything went SO smoothly, so I'm kind of hesitant of the whole induction process {somebody out there tell me that you had just as pleasant of an experience after being induced in case I end up having to be...please???}.  But the doctor said I'm measuring "at full capacity" - so we'll see!
Mills reading a magazine to Pay-Pay the bear while she uses it...not that he's been using it this week, haha.
Playing an intense game of Angry Birds on Daddy's phone...
"Oh, hey Mommy!"
Back to the game...
Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Saturday morning, while sitting in this little Build-a-Bear car, haha.  Mickey Mouse {aka "Mimi Mouse"} has become a new favorite around here.  By the way this little guy is totally putting together sentences now...last night he said, "Uh-oh, Mommy, Jack fell off the truck" while riding his choo-choos on his Zig the Big Rig truck.  He also likes to use the words "first" and "too" a lot right now...like "Mees get juice first," or "Mommy ride in the golf cart, too???"  And he also likes to ask the same question over.and.over.and.over.again.  :)
Saturday night out on the town...at Lowe's.  The "mawnmowers" are always a big hit with this kiddo.
Followed by dinner at Mellow Mushroom.  Mills LOVES pizza, and this was him finishing off my greek salad, notice the green pepper in hand - he was a big fan of dipping the green peppers and carrots in the greek dressing - yum!
And then last night I made my first attempt at cooking ribs - and they were surprisingly easy and delicious!  Plus I made this recipe for mac & cheese - yum!  My box of macaroni pasta wasn't quite a pound - which the recipe called for - so I threw in a little extra wagon wheel pasta that I had leftover in the pantry.  Mills had a lot of fun searching for the wagon wheels and eating them, ha!  I'll have to remember that for other dishes as well!
Hope your week is off to a good start as well!

Shrimp & Grits Kids

Hey y'all!  Well I had a cute little Wednesday post planned for yesterday...but that was before the stomach bug got me down!  :(  I woke up feeling pretty nasty yesterday morning, and it continued on throughout the day, but thankfully today has been A LOT better!  And most importantly, it appears that this nasty bug hasn't spread to the little guy...at least not yet!
Anywho, my friend, Rebecca, is a rep for Shrimp & Grits Kids, and I'm having a little online party today and tomorrow.  Their clothes are great quality and Mills has lots of Shrimp & Grits outfits he'll be handing down to "baby bubber" that look brand new!
Now that I'm close to having two kiddos, I really love that they have coordinating outfits, like these:

{plus like 5 other styles, too!}
I think these two would be so sweet for brothers, monogrammed, of course - perfect for Easter!
And I really love the crabs!
This matching set is probably my favorite for this season, though - I'm thinking Mills and Hayes will look pretty darn cute in these this summer! :)
They have bigger boy polos and short sets, too {because I'm not a fan of big boys in bubbles...}
 Love these sweet options for siblings!
And because we, here in SC, love our palmettos! :)
You can check out the rest of Shrimp & Grits Kids' line at www.shrimpandgritskids.com  and their spring catalog HERE.
If you want to place an order, just send me an email to nicolegwallace@gmail.com, with what you want to order, and I'll get your info to Rebecca and she'll get your payment info.  I also have her number if you'd rather do it that way - either way, just shoot me an email!  You can order anytime before midnight tomorrow night {because she has to have all orders in by the weekend}!
Happy shopping!
