Ahh, I'm too exhausted to type (and it's after 11:00, so I don't have the time either - this back-to-work thing is killin' me!), so I'm just gonna share a few pictures of Mr. Cutie Pants enjoying the beach!

Vacay!!!

Sorry I've been out of the blogging scene, but we were enjoying a nice 10 day vacation at the beach house - ahhh, it was amazing!!! :) The perfect way to end my second half of maternity leave - we got back late Sunday night and I started back to work yesterday.  I have a lot to recap in the next few days (especially since my mom took most of the pictures with her camera since my nice one is still out of commission - and a CD with those pics is in route to me), but I'll share the ones that I do have!
We headed up on the Friday before Mother's Day, and LOTS of family and friends were in and out all week long to make for an absolute BLAST of a time!

I'll fill ya in on the first part of the week when I get the photos, but Thursday night we enjoyed going out on Pappy and Lulu's boat, followed by dinner at Filet's!

Betsy, Alto, Madison, and Dylan came down on Friday night, and Mills enjoyed watching the older kids play! Dylan was entertaining, as always, and was so good with the babies - and Madison read a few books to Mills.

I was so excited to meet Bridget, Davy, and McCall, too! They were so much fun and McCall is absolutely precious. Bridget is a fellow avid picture-taker, like myself, so luckily she got lots of pictures since I didn't have my camera with me! The kids were too stinkin' cute!

McCall had a cute little hat that Lulu put on Mills...but Daddy wasn't too sure about it, considering the fact that it was pink! :)

...And I guess Mills wasn't either! :)

Friday night, the Heards and the Yoes also came to the beach. (The Heards actually came two weekends in a row - and the first one, Katie announced she was PREGNANT and we were absolutely THRILLED! Guess she needs to start a blog now...no pressure, Katie!)  :)

It was a crazy night, with lots of entertainment provided by Jennifer and Suzy (who came all the way from Australia - haha!)!! We also had a blast just hanging out and talking, and playing charades!

Of course numerous games of cornhole were played again on Saturday!

And we were sooooo sad to come home! Having all of our family and friends together was so wonderful and we really had such a great time! More pictures to come from earlier in the week asap! :)

Little Man is FOUR Months Old!

This cutie-patootie turned four months old today!

Sweet little Millsy-bear...what are you up to???

-Not too much has changed in the last month, but you're mainly just doing more of everything you were doing then! :) More cooing, even more smiling, and you're getting so close to a belly laugh...I think you'll master that before your 5 month birthday...that's what I absolutely cannot wait to hear!

-You have rolled over five times from your back to your front, but not on a consistent basis yet.

-You are so ACTIVE!!! You like to be moving nonstop when you're awake, and it's hard to make you cuddle (sniff, sniff), but thankfully you're a good cuddler in the mornings when I put you back in bed with me, so I get to get my fix then. :)

-You've always been so strong for your size, but you're getting really good at sitting up...won't be long til you're doing it on your own!

-You still like your activity mat, but you're moving on to a few new toys, too. You like playing in your Johnny Jump Up (and gnawing on it...or anything for that matter) and for your 4 month birthday you got a Baby Einstein exersaucer - you're already a big fan.

-You've become such a little drooly-face! And you will put anything you can find in your mouth - toys, your hands (24/7), my hair, etc...oh, and you can now take your paci in and out of your mouth, but you haven't quite mastered how to put it back in the right way when you want it (unfortunately for us!).

-You've been a great sleeper until over the last weekend, but last night was MUCH better and I'm hoping it was just due to the shots you got on Friday.

-You're getting so much longer (and finally outgrowing some clothes!) - mostly still wearing 0-3 months, but you are now wearing more 3-6 month outfits.  Your feet, however...well that's another story.  :)  They're short little things and I just got you a few pairs of cute sandals and even the 0-3 month ones are too small, but they just look stinkin' cute on your feet anyway. 

-Speaking of growing, your official stats are:

Weight: 15 lbs - 67th percentile (same)

Height: 25.5 inches - 77th percentile (up from 41st percentile!)

Head: 16 inches - 16th percentile

-We also got cleared to give rice cereal a shot! The pediatrician said it doesn't have add much nutritional value to your diet, but it will begin to help you learn how to use you mouth to eat, so he recommended it. We're gonna give it a try this coming weekend at the beach when everyone is there!

We're just crazy about you and love you more everyday!

We spent today hanging out with Calee and Jameson at a play date, and then Dad came home early so we hurried home to spend time with him!

We even let Dad play some video games while Mommy ran errands...you decided blowing up people really wasn't that exciting...

We sure enjoyed having some time together!!!

Oh and I forgot to mention, your eyes are changing...your dad says he's sorry "you're not gonna get your momma's pretty eyes," but I think your daddy has beautiful brown eyes and I know that yours will be just as gorgeous, whatever color they turn out to be!

...why, you may wonder??? Well that would be because I dropped this

at Mills' dr. appt on Friday. :(  

My sandal got stuck in the waiting room chair when they called our name to go back, and I had my camera in my purse in one hand, and Mills in the other...and out of those two choices, I had to choose one hand to catch myself, and I chose to drop the purse. Thankfully Mills was safe and sound, but something came loose in the lens of my camera and now I've got to figure out where/how to get it fixed. Anyone have a Nikon and ever had something like this happen?

So the blackberry camera isn't very high quality, but here we are getting ready go to the the 4-month check-up!

He took them like a champ, and was sooo brave. :)  Of course the pediatrician complimented him lots throughout the visit, and Mills grinned at him in appreciation. :)

He wasn't too fussy when we got home, but evidently after the shots and over this weekend he has forgotten how to sleep through the night...yowsers! He's been going to bed between 8 and 8:30, but then waking up around 1am or so (and I've been putting the paci back in NUMEROUS times) and sometimes staying awake in his crib until around 3 or 4am...no bueno.  (Then he'll sleep like normal until around 6 or so, eat, and go back to sleep until 8:30 or 9:30am) We're really hoping this trend does not continue, because this child has been such a GREAT sleeper thus far! I'll also give you his exciting growth stats tomorrow with his official 4 month post! :)

Thankfully, Nicholas' three-month-span of TOUGH ward months (cardiology, liver, and general medicine) are over, and we're excited to enjoy a fun May! We celebrated when he got off Sunday with lunch at the Vendue rooftop, then walked around and enjoyed waterfront park (a great time to not have your camera, of course...I was DYING!!) Mills had lunch while we enjoyed the beautiful weather.

Luckily, I have a few pics from last week that I haven't posted yet AND I found the charger to my old digital camera (so don't worry fam, I'll keep you updated on little Millsy-bear)!
