3rd Annual Christmas Pajama Party!

And if this is the THIRD annual, what fun would it be if we didn't look back in time a little...

the first year - can you believe we had all just moved to Charleston about 6 months prior?!?

It was just the two of us...

Then came the SECOND annual...

...where we were VERY close to adding a third to our little duo! :)

{and yes, I wore the same PJs as the previous year - didn't want to waste my money on maternity Christmas PJs - don't judge.}

Mills was on his way!

And this past Saturday, we celebrated at the Yoe's place again!

And we had a ball! :)

Speaking of new additions...can you BELIEVE FOUR-day-old Kirksey attended her first Christmas Pajama Party as well?!?! Along with her momma, who had just given birth to her FOUR DAYS PRIOR?!?!?

That's just impressive. Way to make the rest of us look bad, Katie, hehe. :)

And then...it was 11:45, and little man was crashing {you know, because mr. can't miss a thing wouldn't dream of shutting his eyes at such party...hello mom!?!}

so we took one last photo and called it a night!

That sweet boy of mine...

...turned ELEVEN months old on Saturday, the 4th!!!

Oh my heart! Is he seriously only ONE month away from being a ONE-year-old?!?

Sweet Millsy Bah-dillsy, what are you up to at 11 months???

-Still a sleeping champ (thank the Good Lord!) - 12-13 hours a night and usually two naps a day!

-Wearing mostly 12 month clothing and about to move up to size 4 diapers.

-You're a little speedster when it comes to crawling, and you can walk behind your toy like a little pro! You're not too interested in trying to walk on your own yet though...take your time, little guy, momma's not in a hurry for that! :) You LOVE to crawl up the stairs, like 10 times a day LOVE.

-Still nursing 5 times a day (woohoo!) and eating ALL kinds of things. You really love cheese cubes, carrots, sweet potatoes (hey, I see an orange theme here, ha!), and any kind of breakfast food! You've had your first taste of Chick-fil-A chicken and a biscuit this past week - you're a big fan, naturally. We're still working on the meat thing, because you're a big texture guy, but you are starting to get more used to it. You love salmon, too...and hotdogs. Oh, and over the weekend we ate at Five Loaves and you loved my soup sampler - potato, broccoli and cheese; tarragon tomato with crabmeat; and artichoke, sundried tomato and feta - yum! We're really trying to expose you to a variety of foods.

-You can clap your hands and you've started nodding...a LOT. and it is so.stinking.cute. I realize now that I nod at you a lot, so no wonder you've picked it up, haha! 

-You're a little social butterfly and you love to be out and about - out to dinner, at parties, and at the grocery store! You WILL NOT fall asleep if there is action going on around you though! Ya don't wanna miss a thing!

-You babble pretty much constantly, love bath time, looking out the front window, and your sister Harley (who, by the way, has gotten to be sooooooo good with you).

We love you sooooooo much and think you're pretty much the best thing since sliced bread. :)

Sometimes it's sad that you're growing up so very fast, but it is SO much fun to watch you grow, and each new stage is more fun than the last, sweet boy!

Christmas cards from Shutterfly!

It's that time of year again - when I can't wait to check my mailbox every day to get updates, cards, and precious pictures from dear friends!  I LOVE Christmas cards! Last year we didn't send any out, because  I knew Mills' arrival would be any day, and then we would be sending out birth announcements, so it was just a lot to do!  But the year before, we used Shutterfly and I was so happy with the way they turned out (okay, I just took this with my cell, so you really can't see the quality but you get the point)!

So this year when I found out about Shutterfly's 50 Free Holiday Card Promotion, I decided to go with them again this year! I mean, check out all of these cute options:

I did love this one below, too, but Nicholas said since I'm outnumbered by boys here {human-wise...he said Harley counts as a 1/2} it was a no-go since it's a little girly. :)

Of course I'm still trying to narrow down between a few for our family {that I didn't share here because what a spoiler that would be!} :) AND, when pictures are involved it means I have to find one or two where all of our eyes are open, and baby boy is actually looking....or not! :) We shall see!

Welcome to the world, Kirksey Brooke Heard!!!

This precious little bundle of joy was born yesterday, just before noon, weighing 6lbs and 2oz!

The brand new parents are just over the moon!

Y'all, she is beautiful! I would have loved to have taken more than two pictures of her...but some little almost 11-month-old made that difficult, to say the least!  Luckily she is only three doors down from us so I can soak her up anytime I want (right, Katie???)!? :)

Thankfully Katie and Richard let us all come celebrate at the hospital with them last night!

{I'm soooo glad! Some people don't want lots of people at the hospital after they have a baby..what?!? Girlfriend, I'm like "the more the merrier!!" It's a celebration, after all!!! So thanks for inviting us, sweet friends!}
