Since we were on vacay on September 4th, here is our belated 8-month post!
Sweet Millsy, what are you up to?
-This past month has been a BIG one - the most eventful yet, for sure! You have become an expert crawler! You can get around pretty much anywhere you want - and you're a fast little booger, too! :) You love to pull up on things, and you've become very stable and strong while standing.

Proof:
(a little tougher challenge in a rocking chair!)
-You've got TWO teeth, mister man! They've popped on through, all pearly white, and I love to see them when you're smiling, babbling...even crying! :)-You are eating all kinds of fruits and veggies, and you've tried chicken once (some little shreds from my entree at Mustard Seed), and you nurse or have a bottle five times a day.
-Your mommy-addiction is growing stronger...uh-oh, haha! :) And this month I'm so excited to begin staying home with you!
-You're still in size 3 diapers and wearing 6 and 9 month clothing.
-You've become very vocal and you like to "sing," blow raspberries (a lot!), stick out your tongue from time to time (which Gammy taught you), and you've JUST learned how to click your tongue, which your Daddy and I were doing to you and you caught right on! You still say "mamamamama" a lot (love!), "babababa," and you've started whispering "dadadada" every once in a while! You've said "hey" a couple of times and have said "bye-bye" once (or so we think, haha), and you're soooo close to being able to wave - you open your and and close it, kind of...you'll be doing perfectly in no time! :) Oh, and you also make little Indian sounds (okay, probably not politically correct, but whatev) on command - when we put our hand over your mouth you say, "Ahhhhhh!" You can do it yourself, too.
-You're still sleeping like a pro (as long as you're in a crib, not a pack and play) - 12 hours a night - and you take two long naps a day now - morning and afternoon.
-You like to be out and about - grocery store, Target, wherever! You look around at everything, "talk," and smile at people.
-Your sweet, little personality is shining through more each and every day! You like action, and you don't want to sit still - always on the move (no wonder, since you're named after your Pappy - very fitting)! You're a pretty funny little guy, and you like to watch our reaction to the funny things you do, haha, little ham! You are very ticklish and your laugh is the best sound in the whole wide world!
We love you like CRAZY!!! :)

How cute is this little 8 month old. And it is okay that he makes Indian sounds....he does have Cherokee in his bloodline......maybe he will be able to find objects for Gammy when he grows up by throwing a pencil.lol
ReplyDeleteLove,
Gammy
He is TOO handsome!! I hadn't heard that he was named after family - I'd love to hear the story behind Mills & his full name! Blog post?
