On Friday morning Mills and I headed to the upstate to celebrate Peyton's 9th birthday!
It was a fashion party, and all of the little girls brought outfits and dresses to model - how FUN is that?!?
This is what they walked through that led to the runway:
Every time Mills was carried through this doorway, he enjoyed grabbing the little strings and trying to pull it down...typical boy, right? :)
Me, Mills, Peyton, MaMa, and Kyle...MaMa with her grandchildren (and great) before the party.
Myra and Peyton even got Mills a gift for Peyton's birthday party!!! Mills couldn't believe it! :)
It was so much fun to open his first wrapped gift...with Peyton's help!
It was a ride and walk toy and he LOVED it (he's already been playing on it at home)!
The Birthday Girl and the Party Boy!
While all of the girls were getting ready, Mills took a turn on the runway. :)
Posing...
(don't worry, there are no pageants in this boy's future...omg, have you watched that show Toddlers & Tiaras and seen what they do to those little boys..crazzzzzyyy!)
I sooo wish I had pictures of the sweet little runway models, but my mom took all of those pictures on her camera (she was the paparazzi) - I'll have to get some from her and add them back to this post - we had Disney princesses, flower girls, fashionable divas, and back-to-school trendsetters! :) What a show!
After all of the presents were opened, Mills got to play on his new toy.
And cousin Peyton helped him learn how to ride it!
And after all of the girls left, Mills, Peyton, and I played in the pool for a little while.
My grandparents got this pool for me to play in just a few months after I was born - 27 years ago!!!
And 27 years later, this cool kid is playing in it!
He liked Peyton's goggles!

...And drying off before making the long trek back to Charleston!
It was a whirlwind trip, but we had fun seeing the fam, doing a little shopping and getting some goodies from Gammy, and celebrating!
We got in late last night, and then had a little family photo shoot this morning, followed by lunch downtown, a lazy afternoon, and dinner at Folly Beach. I'll be sure to post a few pics tomorrow, but for now it's time to get ready for another work week ahead...back to the grind! :)
Hope you had a happy birthday, Peyton! We love you!

What a fun weekend we had! It was so sad to go upstairs and see the empty crib....miss you so much!
